The Asia Feminist LBQ Conference 2027 will bring together 300+ LBQ activists, communities, and allies from across Asia for a four-day gathering in Bangkok, Thailand. Building on decades of regional organising, the conference will reclaim our stories, strengthen queer feminist solidarity, and create space to imagine transformative futures. Through plenaries, workshops, and community-led spaces, AFLC 2027 centres LBQ leadership, collective care, and cross-border collaboration to advance justice and liberation in the region.
We envision a world where LBQ persons are free, visible and included in all levels of society.
Read MoreThe Asia LBQ Feminist Network is a regional organisation in Asia that works to create a sustainable and intersectional human rights movement for the social and political inclusion of LBQ persons.
We aim to strengthen the organising capacity among LBQ community members while supporting relationships, alliances, and partnerships to effect change.
We want changes in the public understanding of LBQ/LGBTQI issues and communities and changes in or incremental progress toward laws, institutional practices, and policies that will benefit LBQ/LGBTQI constituencies.
Within Asia, there is an urgent need to amplify LBQ perspectives and influence within the LGBTQI and women’s movements in order to effectively and intersectionally meet these challenges.
AFLN looks to create spaces where LBQ feminist activists learn, plan, and strategize around LBQ rights and gender equality advocacy to improve the lives of LBQ persons in Southeast Asia.
We acknowledge that combating patriarchy, classism, racism, transphobia, and inequality are parts of the fight for LBQ rights.
We gather the courage to take the lead and innovate to promote the dignity of LBQ persons based on data, consultation, and lived realities.
