Our People

Board Members

The eight board members of the Asia Feminist LBQ Network (AFLN) brings a regional, diverse, and politically grounded body made up of LBQ activists and feminist leaders from across Asia. Board members bring deep experience in grassroots organizing, advocacy, philanthropy, legal activism, and movement-building in local, national, and international contexts. Together, they provide strategic guidance, political stewardship, and accountability to the values and vision of AFLN.

The Board plays a key role in ensuring movement alignment, and upholding principles of intersectionality, collective care, and feminist governance. All members are committed to advancing the rights, safety, and leadership of lesbian, bisexual, queer, and trans people, especially those most marginalized by systems of patriarchy, heteronormativity, and colonial power.

Secretariat

The Secretariat of the Asia Feminist LBQ Network (AFLN) serves as the strategic, coordinating and operational hub of the Network. It is responsible for implementing the Network’s strategic vision, managing programs, facilitating regional coordination, and sustaining the daily work of the movement. The Secretariat supports the Network’s partners, and the grassroots by ensuring alignment with feminist and queer political values, and by anchoring collective processes in care, accountability, and collaboration.

Composed of LBQ feminist staff based across the region, the Secretariat leads initiatives in advocacy, research, capacity strengthening, convening, and resource mobilization. It also plays a key role in fostering cross-border solidarity, amplifying LBQ voices, and ensuring that the priorities of grassroots movements are reflected in regional and global spaces.

The Secretariat operates with a commitment to transformative justice, working to center those most marginalized within LBQ communities in all aspects of its work.
